Key Responsibilities:
Category Revenue & Profitability Management:
- Monitor and manage category top-line and bottom-line performance.
- Track sales data, profit margins, and promotional effectiveness.
- Ensure category pricing and promotional strategies support business objectives.
Market Research & Category Sizing:
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to estimate category size, growth potential, and competitor share.
- Leverage shopper insights, retail audits, and syndicated data to guide category strategies.
Market Share Growth:
- Design and execute shopper marketing programs to drive brand visibility and conversion at retail touchpoints.
- Collaborate with sales teams to implement execution plans across modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce channels.
Category Opportunity:
- Identification Identify high-potential sub-categories, consumption trends, and whitespace opportunities.
- Develop recommendations for product portfolio expansion and targeting strategies.
- Driving NPD Sales Support the launch of new products through market activation plans.
- Monitor post-launch performance and optimize based on customer and retailer feedback.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools (Nielsen, Kantar, etc., preferred).
- Ability to interpret market and consumer data to develop actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration mindset.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field MBA from Tier 1 B-schools preferred 2+ years of relevant experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing, or category management in FMCG/CPG industry.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Category revenue growth vs. target.
- Market share improvement.
- NPD sales contribution.
- ROI on shopper marketing initiative.
