Direct Reportee's : Zonal Sales Team (Multiple States)
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Management
- Achieve zonal revenue targets across product categories and territories.
- Forecast and track zone-wise sales performance on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Implement strategies to improve market penetration and drive growth.
Dealer & Channel Management
- Identify, onboard, and nurture high-potential dealers and channel partners.
- Monitor dealer performance and ensure adherence to brand and business standards.
- Resolve dealer issues promptly and strengthen channel relationships.
P&L Ownership
- Own and manage the Profit & Loss statement for the zone.
- Optimize cost structures, drive profitability, and monitor sales expenses.
- Analyze financial metrics to improve operational and fiscal efficiency.
Business Development
- Identify white spaces and new business opportunities within the zone.
- Launch new products or categories with a go-to-market strategy.
- Build competitive intelligence and adapt strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Executives.
- Set clear goals, review performance, and support training initiatives.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on results and accountability.
Reporting & Insights
- Provide regular performance updates, market insights, and competitor analysis to senior leadership.
- Ensure the adoption of CRM tools and data-driven decision-making across the sales team
Education & Experience & KPIs / Success Metrics
- Excellent communication, negotiation skills at leadership level
- Prior experience of working with Founder / Entrepreneur / Promoter driven organization would be an advantage
- PG Diploma in Sales and Marketing or MBA or equivalent global degree from well-regarded Institutes
- 10+ Years of experience in handling Channel Sales, Dealer Development and handling large teams. Experience in Automobile / Luxury (FMCD / Retail / Telecom or similar) Consumer industry will be highly preferable
- Experience in handling high volume sales & large teams at Regional / Zonal Level in India and managed P&L responsibility from last 2-3 years
- Passion to explore a high pressure, volatile, ambiguous start-up environment with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication skills, Ability to multitask and deal with multi stakeholders
- Ability to travel extensively within the zone
