Zonal Sales Manager


1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement


- Develop and execute zonal sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

- Analyze sales trends and identify growth opportunities.

- Monitor performance against goals and recommend course corrections.


2. Distribution & Channel Management


- Drive expansion and deepening of General Trade, Modern Trade, and emerging channels like

E-commerce and D2C (if applicable).

- Ensure distributor health, ROI, and adequate infrastructure for smooth operations.

- Manage channel partners, ensuring policy compliance and strong relationships.


3. Team Leadership & Development


- Lead a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), and Sales Executives.

- Coach and mentor the sales team to improve capability, productivity, and performance.

- Drive field discipline and performance culture.


4. Market Execution


- Ensure flawless execution of trade promotions, visibility initiatives, and product launches.

- Drive market coverage, outlet penetration, and numeric/weighted distribution.

- Track and improve merchandising and in-store execution scores.


5. Stakeholder Collaboration


- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, commercial, and trade marketing teams.
