Zonal Head PSU Banking

Role Overview:

The Zonal Head PSU Banking will be responsible for driving and managing the PSU & Institutional Banking business for the assigned zone. The role involves building and nurturing strategic relationships with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Government bodies, and large institutional clients to enhance business volumes, deepen wallet share, and ensure superior client servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Growth:

- Drive PSU & Institutional Banking business for the zone to achieve revenue, deposit, and asset growth targets.

- Identify new business opportunities with PSUs, State Government undertakings, and large institutions.

- Lead client acquisition, onboarding, and expansion of banking relationships.

Client Relationship Management:

- Build and strengthen relationships with senior officials in PSUs, government departments, and institutional clients.

- Deliver comprehensive banking solutions across liabilities, assets, treasury, trade finance, and digital banking.

- Ensure high standards of client satisfaction and service delivery.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Relationship Managers/Cluster Heads.

- Monitor performance, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with banks strategic objectives.

Risk & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to internal policies, RBI regulations, and compliance guidelines.

- Monitor credit quality and manage risk across the PSU banking portfolio.

- Drive strong governance and internal control mechanisms.

Strategic Initiatives:

- Drive cross-sell of bank products (Trade, Forex, Cash Management, Digital Solutions).

- Support product innovation and customization for PSU clients.

- Act as the face of the bank for PSU business in the zone, representing the brand in key forums and events.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Growth in deposits, assets, and overall revenues from PSU clients.

- Market share expansion in PSU & Government segment in the zone.

- Client satisfaction and retention metrics.

- Portfolio quality and compliance adherence.

- Team productivity and capability building.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA/CA/Equivalent qualification preferred.

- 15+ years of experience in Corporate/Institutional/PSU Banking, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

- Strong network with PSU & Government clients across the zone.

- Proven track record in managing large teams and driving business growth.

- Sound knowledge of banking products (liabilities, assets, trade, treasury, cash management).
