Xerago Securities is seeking a skilled Research Analyst - Quant to develop and refine mathematical models, conduct financial research, and optimize investment strategies. This role requires expertise in quantitative analysis, algorithm development, and risk management, ensuring data-driven decision-making to enhance portfolio performance. Roles & Responsibilities: - Develop and improve mathematical models for trading, forecasting, and data analysis. - Analyze large datasets to identify financial trends and insights. - Conduct backtesting and implement trading models in a live trading environment. - Summarize findings in detailed reports and presentations for non-technical stakeholders. - Utilize unconventional data sources to drive innovation in investment strategies. - Translate algorithms into code and write pseudo-code for strategy testing. - Manage and fine-tune investment portfolios to maximize returns while minimizing risks. - Write detailed product notes, incorporating data to support investment strategies. - Ensure efficient execution of trades with minimal latency and slippage. Investment Management: - Develop and implement investment strategies and asset allocation models. - Monitor market trends and economic indicators for informed decision-making. - Ensure adherence to the firm's investment policies and risk management guidelines. Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and other legal requirements. - Conduct periodic audits and reviews to maintain regulatory standards. - Implement internal controls to effectively manage and mitigate risks. Skills & Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, CFA, CFP preferred). - Strong background in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or finance. - NISM Series XV and Series X A&B certification. - 4-8 years of experience in building technical trading and quantitative strategies. - In-depth knowledge of SEBI regulations and compliance requirements. - Proficiency in programming languages used in quantitative finance. - Strong analytical skills with experience in risk management and strategic planning. - High ethical standards with a commitment to acting in clients' best interests
