Role Overview:
The Vice President Strategic Alliances will head the alliances vertical, responsible for vision, strategy, and execution of partnership-led growth. This role carries full P&L accountability and requires building marquee alliances, innovating product propositions, and scaling revenues across NBFCs, OEMs, and e-commerce ecosystems.
The VP will serve as the face of the company in strategic partnerships, shaping industry relationships and driving sustainable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the alliances vertical.
- Own the P&L with focus on revenue, profitability, and scalability.
- Drive long-term vision while ensuring short-term business wins.
Business Development & Partnerships:
- Forge and grow CXO-level partnerships with NBFCs, banks, OEMs, e-commerce, and fintechs.
- Structure and negotiate high-value commercial deals.
- Expand partner ecosystem to capture new revenue streams and customer bases.
Product & Proposition Innovation:
- Lead design and launch of extended warranties, AMCs, device protection, buyback, and subscription-led offerings.
- Collaborate with product/tech teams for customized partner solutions.
- Ensure product-market fit and scalability across regions.
Team & Execution Excellence:
- Build, mentor, and lead a multi-level alliances team (AVPs, managers, support functions).
- Establish governance frameworks for partner onboarding, performance tracking, and account reviews.
- Ensure flawless execution of strategic initiatives.
Market Development & Thought Leadership:
- Represent the company as an industry leader in VAS solutions.
- Build visibility through industry forums, conferences, and strategic networks.
- Track competitive landscape and regulatory environment to adapt strategies.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Proven P&L leadership experience in alliances/partnerships.
- Expertise in enterprise sales, alliance structuring, and CXO-level negotiations.
- Deep understanding of VAS products (extended warranties, AMCs, insurance-linked solutions, device protection).
- Strong ability to conceptualize and monetize new business models.
- Inspirational leadership and team-building capability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic influence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / Postgraduate preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in strategic alliances, business development, or enterprise partnerships.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role with P&L accountability.
- Strong track record of building high-value partnerships in NBFC, banking, OEM, e-commerce, or fintech ecosystems.
