Role Summary:
The Vice President - Production Planning & Control will lead the strategic and operational planning of manufacturing activities to ensure optimal utilization of resources, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. This role will drive the integration of production schedules, materials planning, and capacity management to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee production planning strategies aligned with business goals and customer commitments.
- Lead capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management to ensure seamless production flow.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and sales teams - to optimize supply-demand balance.
- Adherence to production plans & delivery timelines (OTIF)
- Implement best practices, digital tools, and KPIs for forecasting, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, and process efficiency.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing planning and control team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E./B.Tech - Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering
- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain
- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in Production Planning & Control.
- Proven expertise in capacity planning, ERP/MRP systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
