Vice President - Manufacturing - Packaging Industry


My Client is a growing leader in the Indian packaging industry, dedicated to redefining the customer experience through innovative and high-quality solutions.


Role Summary:

- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP - Manufacturing to lead and optimize our plant operations across multiple locations.


- This role is pivotal in driving efficiency, performance, and strategic growth within our manufacturing division.


- The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

- Lead and oversee plant operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance across all manufacturing locations.

- Manage and mentor Plant Heads providing guidance and support to achieve production targets.

- Implement and maintain standardized and flexible business processes to enhance operational effectiveness.

Leadership and Management:

- Establish and maintain strong leadership authority while fostering an approachable and collaborative work environment.

- Effectively communicate and connect with employees at all levels, from plant heads to floor-level staff.

- Drive a data-driven culture, utilizing analytics to inform strategic decisions and improve performance.

Commercial Acumen:

- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, including effective cost management and efficiency optimization.

- Contribute to budget planning and monitor production costs, implementing cost-saving measures as needed.

Organizational Transition:


- Adapt to and thrive in a transitioning organization, moving from a promoter-driven to a professionally structured environment.

- Support and facilitate the implementation of new processes and systems to enhance organizational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate effectively with other departments, including CMO and Finance, to align manufacturing goals with overall business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role, preferably within the packaging or related industry.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate plant heads and floor-level employees.

- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage both standardized and flexible operational processes.

- Excellent commercial acumen, with a focus on cost management and efficiency optimization.

- Strong data-driven decision-making capabilities.

- Ability to adapt to and thrive in a dynamic and evolving organizational environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with GMP, GHP, OEE, & HACCP is a plus.

- ISO 22000 internal audit experience is a plus.
