Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the overall operations strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead long-term planning for last mile delivery capabilities, ensuring speed, cost efficiency, and reliability.
- Champion process innovation, automation, and adoption of advanced logistics technologies.
Last Mile Delivery Excellence:
- Build and scale last mile delivery network across multiple cities/regions.
- Optimize routing, fulfillment, fleet management, and driver workforce management to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Define benchmarks for on-time delivery, operational safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with technology teams to design and deploy delivery optimization tools, real-time order tracking, and predictive analytics.
Operational Management:
- Own day-to-day operations KPIs: delivery performance, cost per order, service level agreements, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Implement standardized SOPs across regions while maintaining flexibility for local market dynamics.
- Develop contingency frameworks to handle spikes in demand, seasonal volumes, and unexpected disruptions.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations leadership team.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, technology, customer support, and finance teams.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-first mindset.
External Partnerships & Compliance:
- Establish and manage relationships with logistics partners, fleet providers, and key vendors.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulatory requirements, safety standards, and sustainability practices.
- Negotiate contracts to balance service quality with cost optimization.
