Role: Vice President - Mortgage Underwriting : (Diversity Only)

Grade: Vice President

Years of Experience: 12+ Years

Key Mandate Skills:

1. UK Mortgages at a leadership role for a minimum of 3 years. Strong application of general accounting, Principles, cash flow and balance sheet and analysis and interpretation, Stakeholder management (Fraud, Risk teams and Intermediaries).

2. Strong knowledge across a wide range of Mortgage products and instruments. Strong awareness of how UK mortgages - functions and flow. Must be decisive and a clear communicator both written and oral. Ability to handle a significant volume of data and pull out the important aspects, summarize and draw conclusions.

3. Strong awareness of automation tools and how each can be leveraged. Good Awareness around performance management.

Purpose of the role:

- To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities:

1. Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.

2. Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.

- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.

3. Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.

4. Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.

5. Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.

6. Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Vice President Expectations:

1. Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.

2. Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.

3. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.

4. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.

5. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.

6. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.

7. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

8. Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.

9. Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
