We seek a dynamic and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead our HR operations in India. This critical role will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing HR function that supports our rapid growth and ensures the delivery of exceptional engineering services to our global enterprise clients. You will be a key driver of our talent acquisition strategy, focusing on recruiting top-tier technical professionals across India. Beyond recruitment, you will champion our company culture, implement best-practice HR programs, and leverage data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract, recruit and retain top technical talent across India, from freshers to seasoned professionals, managers, team leaders, etc.
- Lead a team of recruiters, providing guidance, coaching and performance management against defined target metrics, and optimizing performance with analytics benchmarked against industry best practices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical communities, universities and industry associations
- Utilize innovative sourcing strategies, including social media, networking and employee referrals, as well as balanced use of outside third-party recruiting firms to build a robust talent pipeline and otherwise achieve the business hiring objectives on time, on budget
- Implement and manage an effective onboarding process to bring engineers to full production as quickly as possible
HR Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with Indian labor laws and best practices
- Ensure accurate and timely HR data management and reporting
Culture and Employee Engagement:
- Champion our company culture and values, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that promote employee satisfaction and retention
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters
- Actively manage Company' Glassdoor profile with accurate company info, responding to employee reviews, showcasing culture and values, and using the platform to attract candidates by presenting a positive image of their workplace, essentially controlling Company' brand perception on the site
- Promote training and development across the company
Performance Management and Analytics:

- Use HCM platform to develop and implement a robust performance management system that drives employee engagement and productivity
- Utilize HR analytics and dashboards to track KPIs and identify areas for improvement
- Generate and present HR reports and insights to senior leadership, focusing on data-driven decision-making
US HR Collaboration:
- Collaborate with US HR team to ensure alignment on global HR initiatives and best practices
- Develop a strong understanding of the differences between HR practices in India and the US
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between Indian and US teams
Engineering Services Expertise:
- Leverage your experience in engineering services best practices to drive performance at Company. Implement KPIs and use analytics to optimize performance
- Ensure HR programs and initiatives support the specific needs of our engineering services workforce
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive technical recruiting experience in the engineering services or technology industry, at large-cap firms
- Deep expertise in recruiting technical personnel across India, with a strong network of contacts. Good working understanding of technology industry
- Proven track record of curating company culture in favor of maximizing employee satisfaction and minimizing voluntary churn. Experience leveraging best practices to drive favorable employee sentiment and Glassdoor results
- Proven ability to build trust across a team of high performing engineers. Perceptive to organizational culture and trends
- Skilled at balancing sometimes conflicting corporate goals vs. workforce desires. Staunch supporter of the Company with internal constituents
- A strong understanding of engineering services KPIs and metrics as relates to the workforce, HR, recruiting, utilization, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Expects to leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize performance
- Proven track record of "running" HR via an HCM platform
- Working knowledge of using HCM platform in combination with Netsuite, Jira, other enterprise apps in the context of reporting and dashboards, etc.
- Provides examples of high-performing HR teams built and managed by candidate, or improving performance from existing teams
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices. Solid experience working with US HR teams to drive a unified global HR program
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
