
Job description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handling legal queries raised by customers, customer's advocate and bankers.
- Responsible for handling all legal documentation related to the company.
- Provide support in managing, documentation, review, and recommend changes for process improvement.
- Drafting Joint Development Agreements, Agreement of Sale, Sale Deeds, Power of Attorney, Construction Agreement, MoUs, Procurement Agreements and other deeds in relation to property.
- To handle legal affairs and to coordinate with senior Advocates/lawyers for the legal matters of the organization.
- Drafting of relevant legal documents, letters communicating with various Authorities and stakeholders.
- Close interaction with and legal assistance with other departments of the company.
- Maintaining files and records in the office in chronological manner.
- Managing and undertaking legal research and case search as required.
- Reporting to the HOD Legal and carry out assigned tasks.
- Managing a team and ensuring that assigned tasks are completed.
- Appearing before various judicial and quasi-judicial authorities and maintaining case records.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Should have experience from Real Estate Industry, Title scrutiny, Land Registration, RERA, MOU, drafting of legal documents, litigation matters and Court Cases.
- 5 to 8 yrs in having fair knowledge in the real estate industry including Transfer of Property Act, Stamp Act, Registration Act/procedures, Goa Land Revenue Act, The Goa Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 etc.
- Diverse knowledge of various legal processes.
- In-depth knowledge of vetting contracts/ agreements.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Sound knowledge of Civil, Commercial, labour and Corporate Laws.
- Well versed with title verification, revenue documents and sourcing the same from the relevant departments.
- Experience/exposure to handling registration of all types of deeds before the Sub-registrar/District registrar office.
- Exposure to litigation practices/current court procedures.
- Familiar and comfortable in reading real estate case laws, legal updates & research.
- Aware about process and rules related to registration, adjudication of various agreements/documents.
