About the Role :

- We are seeking an experienced Outside Consultant with strong shopfloor manufacturing expertise to support a transformation project at one of our key clients - a leading Lead Acid Battery manufacturer in India.

- This role is ideal for someone who brings deep practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, and who can provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and product consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess current machine operations, workflows, and process flows across the production line

- Identify and define golden batch parameters for critical manufacturing operations to standardize best practices and improve output quality

- Recommend and document improvements to existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with industry best practices and transformation objectives

- Collaborate with plant leadership, production engineers, and quality teams to implement changes

- Provide insights into operational bottlenecks, process variability, and potential areas of automation or optimization

Key Qualifications & Experience:

- Proven experience working on the shopfloor in a manufacturing environment, preferably in battery, chemical, automotive, or heavy process industries

- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing equipment, process control, and quality systems

- Experience in defining or implementing golden batch strategies or similar process optimization frameworks

- Ability to identify gaps in current SOPs and develop or refine them effectively

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and change management skills
