Role Expectations:.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the QA strategy and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
- Establish and oversee QA processes, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
- Collaborate with senior management to set quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, including QA engineers, analysts, and testers.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement career development plans for team members.
Quality Assurance Process:
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust QA process, including test plans, test cases, and test automation.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of testing activities, including functional, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product management, development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define quality criteria.
- Participate in product design reviews and provide input on quality aspects and potential risks.
- Facilitate communication between QA and other departments to address quality issues and improve processes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and analyze QA metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Drive initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness, including the adoption of new tools and technologies.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices to keep the QA process up-to-date.
Risk Management:
- Assess and manage risks related to product quality, including identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on QA activities, including test results, defect metrics, and quality trends, to senior management.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations for quality improvements.
