Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical Product Owner (PO) with a strong engineering leadership background to work closely with our CTO and Co-Founder. This role is pivotal in owning the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, system scalability, and high-performance engineering execution. The PO will act as the bridge between product vision and engineering implementation, ensuring that all technical initiatives align with business objectives. This position demands deep technical expertise, strong engineering acumen, and leadership experience to drive product development in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Engineering Strategy:

- Define, own, and drive the product roadmap from an engineering-first perspective, ensuring technical feasibility and scalability.

- Work closely with engineering leads to make architecture decisions, technology stack choices, and infrastructure optimizations.

- Ensure seamless integration of backend, frontend, and DevOps processes to support high-performance, scalable fintech solutions.

- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, focusing on CI/CD, automation, system monitoring, and high-availability solutions.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge and future-proof.

Product Execution & Delivery:

- Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring execution efficiency and quality.

- Work closely with engineering teams to define technical requirements, system design, and data architecture.

- Ensure engineering teams follow best practices in software development, code quality, security, and compliance.

- Lead the execution of the product strategy by orchestrating delivery through cross-functional Pods, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering, design, and business teams. Align priorities, remove roadblocks, and drive accountability within Pods to deliver high-impact solutions efficiently and iteratively.

- Optimize agile development workflows, drive sprint execution, and remove technical roadblocks.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to system performance, security, and scalability.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

- Take full ownership of engineering team leadership, including people management, skill development, and team structure optimization.

- Act as a technical mentor for engineers, guiding them on best practices, architecture decisions, and problem-solving approaches.

- Foster collaboration between engineering, product, and business teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

- Conduct sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to drive continuous improvements.

- Act as the technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable engineering solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 10+ years of experience in Engineering Leadership, Product Ownership, or Technical Product Management roles, preferably in a Fintech, SaaS, or high-growth tech startup environment.

- Strong background in software development, cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), and distributed systems.

- Experience leading engineering teams, driving product execution, and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.

Deep understanding of backend technologies (Node.js, Java, Python, Go), microservices architecture, API design, and DevOps practices.

- Proven ability to handle system scalability, security compliance, and infrastructure reliability.

- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and product analytics tools is a plus.

- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills to manage technical teams and drive engineering-first product initiatives.
