Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager Legal with 810 years of professional experience in corporate law and related legal matters.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of legal practice and industry expertise, providing proactive legal support to the organization.
This role will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and vetting agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, managing litigation matters, and advising management on critical legal issues.
The position requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external legal counsel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize agreements, contracts, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to safeguard the companys interests.
- Vet and provide feedback on agreements and MoUs drafted by external or internal counsel.
- Monitor, manage, and coordinate with external lawyers and law firms regarding ongoing litigation and cases pending in various courts.
- Provide legal advice to management on compliance with corporate, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
- Advise and support various departments and branch offices on day-to-day legal queries and issues.
- Handle arbitration matters, provide guidance on proceedings, and maintain close liaison between the company and external legal consultants.
- Assist in framing internal policies to ensure adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
- Keep updated with changes in corporate, employment, and property-related laws to proactively assess their impact on the organization.
- Prepare regular reports for management summarizing legal risks, case status, and compliance updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Masters in Law (LL.M) will be an added advantage.
- 8 to 10 years of combined experience in legal practice and corporate/industry roles.
- Strong expertise in company-related legal matters and corporate law.
- Exposure to employment law, labor compliance, and property-related legal issues preferred.
- Proven experience in managing litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory skills.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities and capacity to work cross-functionally.
