Unit Head - Production

Position Overview:

- We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Unit Head with 15-20 years of extensive experience in the dairy industry. The ideal candidate will be an MBA graduate with a proven track record of managing end-to-end plant operations, driving efficiency, optimizing costs, and ensuring seamless production and dispatch. This role demands strong leadership, operational acumen, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

- As the Unit Head, you will be responsible for the overall management of our Pilkhuwa manufacturing facility, ensuring its efficient and profitable operation. You will oversee production, maintenance, supply chain, and dispatch, playing a critical role in achieving the unit's operational targets and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Control:

- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet demand forecasts and business objectives.

- Monitor production schedules, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.

- Optimize production processes for maximum output and minimal waste.

- Implement robust quality control measures throughout the production cycle.

Preventive Maintenance Oversight:

- Lead the development and execution of a robust preventive maintenance program for all plant machinery and equipment.

- Ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency through proactive maintenance strategies.

- Oversee troubleshooting and timely resolution of mechanical and electrical issues.

- Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively.

Cost Optimization & Efficiency Improvement:

- Identify and implement strategies for cost reduction across all operational areas, including raw materials, energy, and labor.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

- Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.

- Manage budgets, control expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial targets.

Store Management:

- Oversee the efficient management of raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts stores.

- Implement best practices for inventory control, warehousing, and logistics to minimize losses and optimize stock levels.

- Ensure accurate record-keeping and regular reconciliation of inventory.

- Foster a culture of proper material handling and storage.

Dispatch Management:

- Supervise and streamline the dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished products.

- Optimize logistics and transportation routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to product dispatch and transportation.

- Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to meet customer delivery expectations.
