Job Title: Legal Associate

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5-7 years

Responsibilities:

- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support the company's legal needs, including compliance with IT laws and regulations.

- Document Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to IT services, software licensing including open-source software and IP infringements, and vendor agreements.

- Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, intellectual property, and cybersecurity laws.

- Dispute Resolution: Assist in handling legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and work with external legal counsel as needed.

- Policy Development: Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.

- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients and stakeholders to address legal concerns and provide legal advice.

- Training: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics relevant to the IT industry, such as data privacy and intellectual property rights.

Qualifications:

- Education: A bachelor's degree in law (LLB) is required; a master's degree (LLM) or specialization in IT law is preferred.

- Experience: Previous experience in a legal role, preferably within the IT industry or a technology-focused law firm.

Skills:

- Strong research and analytical skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
