A Vice President/Head of Marketing in Diagnostics is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and implementing the overall marketing strategy for a diagnostic company including communication and public relations strategy and functions. Leads and mentors the marketing teams, while managing budgets, overseeing marketing campaigns, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare and diagnostics market, along with proven experience in marketing leadership and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

- Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.

- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and analyze marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, traditional, and events.

- Brand Management: Build and maintain a strong brand presence, ensuring consistency and alignment with the company's values and messaging.

Market Research:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.

- Conduct competitor analysis for both local and national diagnostic players.

- Use data to identify high-potential test packages, customer segments, and geo-targeting opportunities.

- Monitor patient feedback on Google reviews, Practo, Justdial, and other platforms to improve brand perception.

Content & Brand Strategy:

- Build a content calendar including blogs, patient education videos, test-related articles, and wellness campaigns.


- Develop creative assets for digital and offline use ensuring medical accuracy and brand consistency.

- Run awareness campaigns for preventive health check-ups, new test launches, and seasonal diagnostic needs.

Sales Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals and drive revenue growth.

Performance Measurement:

- Track and analyze marketing metrics, ROI, and key performance indicators to optimize campaigns and improve performance.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.

Required Skills and Experience:

Digital Marketing:

- Design and execute integrated digital campaigns across SEO, SEM, social media, display, retargeting, and healthcare listing platforms.

- Manage performance marketing budgets with a focus on achieving optimal ROAS.

- Oversee website content & UX optimization to improve lead conversion and online bookings.

- Implement marketing automation and CRM-based campaigns for patient reactivation, upselling, and cross-selling.

- Develop targeted campaigns for doctor referrals, B2B tie-ups, and patient acquisition.

- Monitor and optimize campaigns using Google Analytics, Search Console, and healthcare specific analytics tools.

Leadership:

- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing marketing teams.

Communication:

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Analytical Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Project Management:

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

- Strong skills in Market Planning and Marketing Management

- Experience with Market Research techniques and tools

- Proficiency in Sales strategies and tactics

- Public Relations skills to maintain a positive company image

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs

Education:

- Masters degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies.

Industry Knowledge:

- Deep understanding of the diagnostics market, including regulations, competition, and customer needs.
