Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30-40 NOC engineers and technicians, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee 24/7 network operations, ensuring efficient monitoring, incident detection, troubleshooting, and resolution for all telecom infrastructure.
- Incident & Problem Management: Drive the incident management process from identification to resolution, ensuring timely escalation, communication, and post-incident analysis. Implement problem management strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Network Performance & Monitoring: Ensure continuous monitoring of network performance and health using various tools, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Technical Expertise Application: Apply deep technical expertise in DWDM, SDH, Dark Fiber, Fiber Optics, FTTH, FTTX, IP, and Ethernet to guide the team in complex troubleshooting and solutioning.
- Vendor Management: Work effectively with equipment from key vendors including Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia, providing guidance on their specific technologies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve NOC processes, automation, and efficiency.
- Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on network performance, incident trends, and team productivity.
- Shift Management: Manage team schedules for the 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM IST shift, ensuring optimal coverage and smooth operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) management or senior telecom operations roles.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of 30-40 members within a fast-paced operational environment.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong hands-on expertise in DWDM, SDH, Dark Fiber, Fiber Optics, FTTH, FTTX, IP, and Ethernet technologies.
- Familiarity with network equipment from major vendors such as Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia.
- Operational Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Incident Management and Network Monitoring.
- Certifications (Preferred): ITIL, CCNP, or JNCIP certifications are highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex network issues.
- Location: Ability to work on-site from Airoli, Mumbai.
- Shift: Willingness to work in the 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM IST shift.
