We are looking for an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead end-to-end technology initiatives within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and on-budget delivery of projects that support core business functions such as R&D, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a proven track record of managing complex projects and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape that governs the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead technology projects from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, and delivery. This involves defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, etc.), ensuring effective communication and alignment of expectations.
- Vendor & Resource Management: Manage third-party vendors and coordinate resources to ensure project goals are met. This includes overseeing software implementation, system integration, and infrastructure deployments.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to strict industry regulations and compliance standards, such as GxP, CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage change effectively to minimize disruption. Facilitate change management and training to promote user adoption.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed project plans, status reports, and risk logs to senior leadership and project sponsors.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Life Sciences discipline.
- PMP, Prince2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is a significant advantage.
Required Skills:
- Project Management Expertise: 10 - 12 years of total experience in IT/ Technology Project Management, with at least 5 years specifically in the Pharma/ Life Sciences domain.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven experience managing projects involving digital health, laboratory systems (LIMS, ELN), clinical trial systems (CTMS), and manufacturing systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory environments and compliance standards such as FDA, GxP, and CSV.
- Methodology: Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives in the life sciences.
- Experience with cloud migrations and enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Veeva, Oracle Health Sciences).
- Experience in managing global project rollouts.
- An understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, quality control, or the clinical development lifecycle
