Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale, complex programs within the Oil and Gas sector.

The Junior Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective coordination and integration across various teams and departments.

This position requires a strong understanding of program management principles, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, particularly with SmartPlant, and be adept at navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective coordination and integration of activities across different teams and departments.

- Monitor program progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

- Ensure adherence to established program management methodologies, standards, and best practices.

- Track and report on program performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to stakeholders.

- Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to achieve program objectives and KPIs.

- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to align program initiatives with business strategy and goals.

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Facilitate communication and collaboration across project teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding.

- Identify, assess, and manage program risks and issues, developing and implementing appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.

- Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management in a timely manner.

- Maintain a comprehensive risk and issue log, tracking progress and resolution.

- Assist in the development and management of program budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.

- Track program expenditures and provide regular financial reports.

- Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization.

- Prepare and present regular program status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.

- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in engineering and/or Computer Science.

- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in program management.

- Minimum of 5 years of deep technical knowledge and experience in SmartPlant.

- Oil and Gas industry experience is mandatory.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

- Experience with Smart Plant Projects is essential.

- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex programs on time, within budget, and to desired outcomes.

- Familiarity with various program management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).

Experience & Skills:


- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SmartPlant software and its application within the Oil and Gas industry.

- Leadership & Management: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams.

- Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.

- Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on results and business impact.

- Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

- Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.

- Analytical & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

- Organizational & Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Certification (Desirable): Certified Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable
