Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically sound professional with experience in Water Resources, Coastal Engineering, or Hydraulic Engineering industries, ideally as a Design Engineer / Consultant Engineer, who is keen to transition into a Business Development role focused on technical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with potential clients and projects in the target markets through extensive travelling and proactive outreach.
- Build and maintain a project pipeline to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to gather engineering data, understand project requirements, and budget constraints.
- Contribute to the development of techno-commercial proposals by aligning client requirements with product offerings.
- Represent the company in business promotional activities, including one-on-one client meetings, group presentations, participation in seminars, conferences, and industry events.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Formulate and implement project-winning strategies by interacting with all project stakeholders, analyzing competition, and developing actionable plans.
- Continuously enhance the company's visibility and brand reputation by participating in relevant industry forums, roadshows, and conferences.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the management to support business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BBA/BTECH or MBA or master's in related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to technical design, consulting, or project engineering in water resources, coastal, or hydraulic engineering projects.
- Strong interest in transitioning into a technical business development role.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.
- Ability to understand technical products, interpret client requirements, and present solutions effectively.
