Job Title: Team Lead Vendor Management

Reporting To: Manager


Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary:


We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Team Lead Vendor Management to oversee the selection, evaluation, on-boarding, and management of third-party vendors. The role involves ensuring vendor performance, managing risk, negotiating contracts, maintaining compliance, and building long-term relationships that support the organization's operational and strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:


Vendor Identification & On-boarding:


- Source, evaluate, and on-board new vendors as per business requirements.

- Conduct due diligence, background checks, and documentation review during on-boarding.

Relationship & Performance Management:


- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.

- Set clear KPIs and SLAs and monitor performance regularly.

- Conduct periodic performance reviews and audits.

Contract Negotiation & Compliance:


- Negotiate terms and pricing to ensure best value without compromising on quality.

- Ensure all contracts and agreements are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.

- Work closely with legal and compliance teams for risk mitigation.

Process Improvement & Reporting:


- Analyse vendor-related data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

- Prepare regular reports for senior management on vendor performance and cost analysis.

- Assist in creating SOPs, procurement policies, and vendor manuals.

Issue Resolution:


- Act as a point of contact for any vendor-related issues or escalations.

- Ensure timely resolution of conflicts and disputes.


Requirements:


- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.

- 25 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with vendor management systems (VMS) and ERP tools.

- Knowledge of contract law and vendor compliance regulations.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.


Preferred Skills:


- Industry-specific vendor experience (e.g., BGV, CPV/FI, Banks & NBFC).

- Familiarity with risk management and cost control techniques.
