Key Deliverables in this role:
Financial Outcomes:
- Drive the NPD agenda in line with business priorities - initiatives that will deliver on targets for NDP as a % of turnover
- Lead research processes both qual and quant for all NPD projects
Customer Service:
- Develop the product specifications in consultation with the consumer insights, marketing, sales, packaging, regulatory and the R&D teams
- Draw the GTM strategy along with brand team for the NPD brands and lead the launch of the products
Internal Processes:
- Manage the innovation funnel stage gate process for key projects in line with business KPIs
- Leverage different idea generation platforms to identify sizeable compelling ideas for NPD to deliver growth in the mid-long term horizon by doing in depth market study for competition and surrogates , creating bench marking decks , putting a detailed brief etc.
- Prepare a robust plan for NPD projects with clear milestones, timelines, owners and KPIs; track progress and ensure projects are executed on time and in an agile manner
- Work closely with cross functional teams to deliver on the strategic pillars of the NPD funnel; drive ownership and accountability across the organization for NPD projects
- Lead the launch for NPD in case of new products / brands successfully transition to marketing team at a later stage - work closely with sales & category teams to see projects through to the market execution stage
Innovation and Learning:
- Responsible for all marketing activities for the related Portfolio - interaction with agency in product & communication development, promotions
- Manage complexity and simplify decision making
- Drive thinking of new channels, premium products, differential route to market
Critical success factors for the Role:
- 6-8 years of marketing experience. Which includes min 2-3 years' experience in brand management with consumer view and a small experience in innovation function(optional). Exposure to sales would be an advantage
- Experience in FMCG for one of the mainstream channels and preferably in Foods Category
- MBA from reputed college.
