About Vyap:

Vyap from the Adcount family is a fast growing B2B e-commerce platform that simplifies restaurant procurement by providing high-quality products at competitive prices. We serve the HORECA sector with a focus on efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness.

As we expand our Poultry Vertical, we are looking for a Category Manager-Poulty to lead procurement, supplier management, and pricing strategies for poultry products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Management & Procurement

- Develop and execute procurement strategies for poultry products, ensuring quality, availability, and cost efficiency.

- Identify and onboard reliable poultry suppliers to strengthen the supply chain.

- Maintain optimum stock levels by tracking demand patterns and sales trends.

2. Supplier & Vendor Management

- Build strong relationships with poultry farms, distributors, and wholesalers.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to maintain margins.

- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.

3. Pricing & Profitability Management

- Conduct market research to analyze poultry pricing trends and competition.

- Develop dynamic pricing strategies to balance demand, cost, and profitability.

- Work with finance teams to optimize credit terms and payment cycles for vendors.

4. Sales & Customer Collaboration

- Coordinate with the sales team to understand customer demand and order patterns.

- Work on promotions and bulk deals to drive poultry sales among restaurant partners.

- Ensure on-time order fulfillment by working closely with logistics teams.

5. Data & Performance Analysis

- Track category performance KPIs like sales, margins, and stock movement.

- Use data-driven insights to optimize inventory turnover and reduce wastage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in poultry, meat, or fresh food products.

- Strong understanding of supplier negotiation, inventory management, and demand forecasting.

- Knowledge of HORECA procurement processes and food safety regulations.

- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
