Job Description : Data Analytics Lead
We are looking for a high-agency Data Analytics Lead to be one of our foundational data hires.
This role is unique you will be hands-on with data and play a critical role in shaping our data strategy. The ideal candidate is analytical, entrepreneurial, and eager to grow into a leadership role over time while helping us establish a strong data culture.

We help brands start and scale their eCommerce sites, enabling high growth and seamless omnichannel customer experiences using Shopify or Shopify Plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between Product, Engineering, and Business teams by analyzing data, identifying gaps, and driving the data roadmap.
- Support the growth of the data function, with opportunities to hire, mentor, and train new team members as the company scales.
- Own the data pipeline end-to-end: investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure sustainable solutions. While working with different teams like engineering, design and product.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights through data storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
- Write and maintain technical specifications for data movement, transformation, and quality.
- Define and monitor KPIs across areas such as Sales, Consumer Behavior, Supply Chain, and Web Analytics.
- Deep dive into large datasets using SQL, Python, Excel, and modern analytics tools to answer key business questions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
- 2- 5 years of experience in data analytics or data product roles, with a track record of driving impact.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and working with large datasets.
- Understanding of Web Analytics (traffic, conversion funnels, attribution, digital marketing metrics).
- Experience defining and tracking business-critical KPIs.
- High attention to detail, with a structured problem-solving approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative product development.
- Background in Retail or eCommerce is a plus.
