
Position Title: Station Security Head (SSH)

Job Purpose
The Station Security Head is responsible for overseeing and managing aviation security operations at designated stations, in compliance with BCAS guidelines and local operating procedures. The role ensures robust access control, surveillance, patrolling, aircraft security, baggage screening, and coordination with stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of aviation security.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage aviation security operations at the designated station, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
- Implement and enforce security procedures to safeguard passengers, employees, and assets.
- Establish and oversee procedures for responding to security incidents at the station.
- Lead investigations into security incidents and coordinate with relevant authorities as required.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, local law enforcement, and regulatory bodies to enhance
security measures.
- Coordinate with Hub Control on airport announcements regarding gate closures/openings.
- Provide accurate flight information and respond to passenger inquiries.
- Maintain knowledge of policies regarding unaccompanied minors, law enforcement officers, hazmat, and airfreight acceptance.
- Conduct ID and boarding card checks, and perform physical searches in line with BCAS standards.
- Respond effectively to emergency incidents as per established procedures.
- Execute escort duties during special events and high-security movements.
- Implement strict access control measures to prevent unauthorized entry into secure airport or aircraft areas.
Requirements
Education: Post Graduation (any discipline) Mandatory.
Experience: 12-15 years in aviation security.
- Basic AVSEC Mandatory.
- Screener Desired.
- Instructor Desired.
- Auditor Desired.

- In-depth knowledge of BCAS guidelines and aviation security best practices.

Key Interfaces
Internal: Security staff, Hub Control, and station operations teams.
