Job Summary:

- The State Head - Government Banking will be responsible for strategically managing and aggressively growing the government banking business within the dynamic state of Delhi.

- This pivotal role involves proactively building, nurturing, and maintaining robust relationships with a diverse range of government departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), urban local bodies (ULBs), and other relevant institutions.

- The incumbent will be a key driver in ensuring stringent compliance, forging impactful strategic partnerships, and expertly leading a high-performing team to consistently achieve and exceed ambitious business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership & Operations: Lead and manage the entire spectrum of government banking operations across Delhi, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

- Relationship Management: Cultivate, strengthen, and expand relationships with critical government stakeholders, key decision-makers, and various departments at the state and central levels.

- Business Acquisition & Retention: Drive the aggressive acquisition and sustainable retention of government accounts, encompassing state government, central government, and local bodies.

- Revenue Growth & Cross-Selling: Spearhead CASA (Current Account Savings Account) growth initiatives and effectively cross-sell a comprehensive suite of bank products and services to government entities, maximizing wallet share.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure absolute compliance with all Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other pertinent regulatory guidelines related to government banking, mitigating risks and maintaining operational integrity.

- Product Development & Customization: Act as a crucial liaison with internal product development, treasury, and technology teams to drive the creation of innovative and customized financial offerings tailored to the specific needs of government clients.

- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, motivate, and lead a team of high-caliber Relationship Managers and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability to consistently achieve and surpass business targets.

- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes impacting government banking to identify new business opportunities and formulate responsive strategies.

- Risk Management: Implement robust risk management practices in alignment with bank policies and regulatory requirements for government banking operations.
