Role Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MIS Specialist to manage data systems, generate business reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
- The MIS Specialist will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, creating dashboards, developing automated reporting solutions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of management information.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Dashboard Management:
- Design, develop, and maintain operational and management dashboards using tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Generate periodic reports (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly) related to business performance metrics, sales, inventory, finance, HR, and operations.
- Automate manual reporting processes and optimize data workflows for efficiency.
Data Analysis & Business Insights:
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Perform variance analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling as required.
- Provide decision support through customized reports and visualizations.
Data Management & Integrity:
- Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Validate data inputs and conduct audits to maintain high data quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external data governance and security policies.
Process Automation & Improvement:
- Create and manage macros, VBA scripts, or Python scripts to automate recurring tasks.
- Identify gaps in existing MIS processes and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with IT or ERP teams to improve data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with departments like Sales, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain to understand MIS requirements.
- Provide support for ad-hoc queries, reports, and executive summaries for leadership teams.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, macros, conditional formatting)
- SQL (Structured Query Language) for querying relational databases
- Power BI / Tableau / Google Data Studio (optional but preferred)
- VBA, Python, or R for automation (added advantage)
- Familiarity with ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho, etc. ) is a plus
