Role Description:

Softvolt - IT Solutions is seeking an exceptionally driven and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our IT services sales efforts in the US market.


This is a critical individual contributor role for a proven "hunter" with a strong track record of acquiring new logos and closing long-standing business relationships.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from strategic prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.


You will leverage your existing network and expertise in IT services sales to identify and develop new business opportunities, conduct thorough market research, and build strong, lasting relationships with potential clients across various industries in the United States.


Your success will directly contribute to Softvolt's growth and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Prospecting & Lead Generation:


- Proactively identify and research new business opportunities within the US market for Softvolt's Digital Engineering, Digital Transformation, and Data Analytics services.


- Utilize a sharp "hunter" mentality to identify target accounts and key decision-makers.

Pipeline Building:


- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, meticulously tracking opportunities and maintaining a strong forecast for new business acquisition.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building:


- Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients, understanding their business challenges and positioning Softvolt's services as optimal solutions.

Presentations & Pitches:


- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to C-level executives and decision-makers, effectively promoting Softvolt's service offerings and value proposition.

Negotiation & Closure:


- Lead negotiations to secure new client contracts, consistently meeting and exceeding assigned sales quotas.


- Demonstrate a track record of acquiring new logos and closing complex, long-standing business deals.

Market Research & Analysis:


- Conduct continuous market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and new opportunities within the US IT services market.

Individual Contribution:


- Operate as a highly motivated individual contributor with a strong number-driven business attitude, taking full ownership of sales targets and outcomes.

Travel (as required):


- Be willing to travel to the US on business purposes to meet with clients and prospects, if and when required, to foster stronger relationships and close deals.

Collaboration:


- Work closely with the delivery and marketing teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.


- Provide market insights to help tailor service offerings.

Reporting:


- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems and provide regular reports on sales performance and pipeline status.

This position is not suitable for candidates with a background primarily in SaaS Sales. We are specifically looking for expertise in IT services sales.

Qualifications:

- 6 to 10 years of dedicated experience in IT services sales with a proven track record of selling digital engineering, digital transformation, data analytics, or similar software development and consulting services.

- Demonstrated experience in selling to the US market is essential, including a solid understanding of the US business landscape and client expectations.

- Must have a built network with the ability to self-start immediately and set up conference calls and present to decision-makers.

- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and successfully acquiring new logos.

- Ability to close long-standing businesses and complex deals.

- Excellent prospecting skills with a strong "hunter" mentality.

- Exceptional presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly.

- In-depth knowledge of Information Technology and Software Services, particularly in Digital Engineering, Digital Transformation, and Data Analytics.

- Must be a highly motivated individual contributor with a strong number-driven business attitude.

- Willingness to travel to the US for business purposes as required.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
