Role Overview:
- This role is pivotal in building and scaling Google as a key marketing channel for Shopdeck, developing deep, data-driven marketing frameworks that maximize seller profitability. You will drive strategic decision-making systems that optimize Google Ads, Search, Performance Max, and Shopping, ensuring our sellers achieve sustainable growth.
- The ultimate goal is to develop proprietary Google marketing playbooks and a smart recommendation system that serves as a long-term competitive advantage for Shopdeck.
Key Responsibilities:
- Google-First Growth Strategy: Build and scale Google as a new, high-performing acquisition channel, optimizing campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and Display Ads.
- Advanced Google Frameworks: Develop and implement robust decision-making systems tailored for Google Ads-covering campaign structuring, bidding strategies, budget allocation, audience segmentation, and ad creatives to drive maximum profitability for sellers.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze Google marketing funnel performance, improve attribution models, and create automated playbooks that continuously refine spend efficiency.
- Seller Profitability & Revenue Growth: Leverage Google Ads insights and predictive analytics to identify opportunities that enhance the profitability of 500+ D2C brands on Shopdeck.
- Full-Funnel Marketing Impact: While Google is the priority, work alongside the team to refine Meta Ads, website optimization strategies, and conversion rate levers to create a holistic, data-backed marketing engine.
- Operational Integration: Collaborate closely with operational teams to embed Google insights and frameworks into seller growth strategies, ensuring seamless execution.
- Product & Automation: Partner with the Product team to transform online marketing intelligence into scalable, automated recommendation systems-leveraging machine learning where possible.
- Exploration of Additional Growth Channels: Once Google is scaled, explore new opportunities in WhatsApp, influencer collaborations, and organic marketing to drive repeat purchases and retention.
Qualifications:
- Tier 1 College (IITs/BITS preferred)
- 3-6 years of experience in performance marketing with a strong emphasis on Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, GDN, etc.)
- Proven track record in scaling Google Ads profitably for D2C brands or similar businesses
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset-ability to develop and implement decision-making frameworks that improve ROAS and profitability
- Deep expertise in digital marketing, attribution modeling, website funnel optimization, and automation of ad operations.
- Innovative thinker with a passion for harnessing data, technology, and automation to unlock growth opportunities.
