Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our finance team.
- The ideal candidate will hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, alongside an MBA from a reputed institute, with over 7 years of experience in finance.
- This role is vital in providing strategic financial insights and driving decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling: Build and manage comprehensive financial business models and scenario analyses to assess various financial outcomes.
Financial Insights & Projections: Provide reliable data and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning for the accounting team.
Peer Benchmarking and Analysis: Conduct peer benchmarking and comparative analysis to evaluate our financial performance against industry standards and competitors.
Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, highlighting key insights and variances.
Presentation Preparation: Assist in the preparation of impactful presentations that provide thoughtful analyses, identify action items, and frame critical decisions.
Data Analysis: Dive deeply into financial data, becoming a subject matter expert to offer valuable insights that inform strategic initiatives.
Collaboration: Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to align on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
Business Challenge Identification: Identify and understand business challenges; proactively propose and implement solutions.
FP&A Support: Provide FP&A finance support to the accounting teams centered on productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.
Corporate Projects: Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization, contributing insights and analyses.
Variance Research: Identify and research variances relative to forecasts, budgets, and prior-year expenses to uncover opportunities for improvement.
Relationship Development: Foster and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.
Investor Relations Liaison: At a later stage serve as a liaison for the investor relations team, managing earnings guidance scenario modelling, including executive presentation preparation, Q&A support, and ad hoc analysis.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, with an
MBA from a reputed institute.
- Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and taxation.
- Previous experience in a managerial role, ideally in financial planning & analysis or CFO services.
- Hands-on experience with managing financial statements, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other financial tools/software
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Oracle and general internet skills.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, specifically Oracle and other relevant platforms.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for business partnering and team collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
