Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing employee relations with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
- Managing the formal investigation and resolution of employee conduct concerns, including bullying, harassment, and discrimination.
- Responding to industrial and employment-related legal claims.
- Ensuring the development of employment/industrial policies complies with local laws and regulations.
- Supporting the development of people capability, including conducting training and providing knowledge articles on key ER/IR issues.
- Providing ER/IR input to internal projects, including those involving major organizational change or union engagement.
- Providing leadership and support for People & Culture programs, identifying and reporting on trends.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to achieve optimal business results.
- Driving quality and productivity improvements in ER, IR, policy, and contract proposition.
- Applying specialist knowledge to provide commercial solutions to complex ER and employment law matters.
- Using judgment and authority to carry out the role within defined policies and objectives; includes leadership accountability.
