Job Opportunity: Senior Manager Taxation

Location: BKC, Mumbai.

Requirement: Candidates must have Capital Market experience.

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead and oversee the smooth execution of tax operations for group entities.

The role involves managing direct & indirect tax compliance, audits & assessments, litigation management, and ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Payments & Compliance

- Manage payments of TDS, Advance Income Tax & Security Transaction Tax (STT).

- Verify reports prepared by the team and authorize payments.

- Collate financial data to ensure accuracy and timely statutory compliance.

Tax Return Filing & Certification

- Validate TDS, Service Tax & STT returns for filing.

- Ensure accuracy of statutory certificates (Form 16A, etc.

- Prepare & coordinate STT return filings as per regulations.

Audits & Assessments

- Prepare income computation reports & liaise with auditors/consultants.

- Address queries from auditors and tax authorities.

- Support scrutiny cases and attend hearings where required.

Litigations & Appeals

- Coordinate with consultants for appeals at Tribunal/High Court/Supreme Court.

- Approve statutory fees & ensure documentation of cases.

Other Activities

- Review & validate regulatory submissions.

- Ensure STT applicability on new securities.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of taxation laws & accounting standards.

- Proven experience in financial services with Capital Market exposure.

- Strong stakeholder management (regulators, consultants, internal teams).

- Leadership skills to build and manage high-performing teams.

- Process-driven, problem-solving mindset with execution focus.

- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

- Essential: CA / MBA (Finance) with 8-12 years of relevant experience.

- Desired: LLB or additional qualifications in Capital Markets.
