Position Overview
Polygel Industries Pvt Ltd is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to spearhead sales and business development efforts in the specialty chemicals sector (Catalysts & Intermediates category of Products). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in chemical engineering/ chemistry exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders and clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Mapping, Business Development and achievement of Sales targets :
- Understanding of the Market, Applications and Product.
- Understanding the competition landscape.
- Understanding competitive advantage, pricing and key deliverables to customers.
- Understanding the key features and benefits of our products.
- Contribute towards New Product selection and New Product development of adjacent products.
- Analysis of demand-supply dynamics and pricing trends
- Understanding of technology trends of the product categories
2. Customer Relationship Management:
- Manage existing customer accounts, ensuring trust and long-term relationships.
- Address client concerns promptly and provide technical support when necessary.
3. Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
4. Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Use data-driven insights to refine sales targets and improve overall performance.
- Responsible for monthly MIS and reporting
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's/ Master's degree /PhD in Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within the specialty chemicals industry. Preferably in catalysts/performance additives in Petrochemicals.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in teams.
Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of specialty and petrochemical products, applications, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software is preferred.
