Experience Required: 3 to 8 years of experience in marketplace management, preferably within consumer brands, D2C, or beauty/personal care industries
Educational Qualification: B.Tech /MBA / Other Bachelor's or Master's Degree
Preferred Background: Candidates from reputed/pedigree institutes
About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager-Marketplace to drive revenue growth across leading online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, as well as quick commerce platforms like Swiggy, Zomato, and Instamart.
The role entails end-to-end ownership of product listings, catalog management, SEO, and performance marketing to optimize visibility and sales. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and leadership skills.
Responsibilities include market research, team management, performance reporting, and relationship building with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Marketplace Strategy & Growth:
- Own the P&L for marketplace channels
- Develop and implement growth strategies across platforms
- Identify new marketplace opportunities and launch plans
Account Management:
- Act as the key liaison with platform account managers (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- Negotiate visibility, promotions, and ad placements
- Build strong partner relationships for sustained growth
Sales & Performance Tracking:
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and targets
- Track KPIs like conversion rates, traffic, AOV, ROAS
- Optimize listings, pricing, and inventory to drive performance
Marketing & Promotions:
- Plan and execute campaigns during sales events (Big Billion Day, Prime Day, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal marketing teams on creatives and content
- Oversee ad campaigns (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Flipkart PLA, etc.)
Inventory & Operations:
- Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure stock availability
- Minimize returns, cancellations, and stock-outs
- Track fulfillment models (FBA, FBM, smart logistics, etc.)
Catalog & Content Optimization:
- Ensure product listings are SEO-optimized, with compelling content and accurate data
- Lead A/B testing for product pages, images, and descriptions
Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead a team of executives or specialists (optional, depending on org size)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, supply chain, marketing, and tech teams
Requirements:
- Interest and willingness to work with beauty & personal care sector is a strong advantage
- Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate the objectives and needs of the brand to all stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage a team of associates to drive marketplace channels.
