Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager / Manager HR to lead the human resources function at a leading Multi-Specialty Hospital in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have extensive progressive HR experience, with a mandatory minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospital or healthcare sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support our growth, ensure compliance, and foster a patient-centric service delivery culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute the overall HR strategy in alignment with the hospital's leadership team and business goals.
- Build an agile and responsive HR ecosystem to support institutional growth and service excellence.
- Lead the hospital-wide HR digitization initiatives and implement new HR policies and procedures.
Talent Management & Operations:
- Oversee the complete recruitment strategy for a diverse workforce, including medical, paramedical, administrative, and support staff.
- Manage workforce planning and manpower optimization for a team of 2000+ employees.
- Drive end-to-end talent management, including performance appraisal systems, succession planning, and a robust learning & development framework for both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Compliance & Administration:
- Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory and labor laws.
- Lead payroll management, HR audits, and the implementation of HRMS systems and records management.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with healthcare accreditation standards such as NABH, JCI, and others.
Employee Relations & Culture:
- Create and execute engaging employee programs specifically tailored to the unique healthcare environment.
- Oversee grievance handling, manage union interactions (if applicable), and ensure workforce stability.
Requirements
Education: MBA in HR / PGDHRM or equivalent from a reputed institute.
Experience:
- 12-18 years of progressive HR experience.
- Mandatory minimum of 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within a hospital or healthcare group.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of hospital workforce dynamics, statutory compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing an employee strength of 1000+, with exposure to multi-departmental teams.
- Proficiency in HR technologies (HRMS, Payroll Systems, Analytics, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Industry Preference:
Only candidates from Hospitals, Diagnostics, Pharma, Healthtech, or other Healthcare Providers will be considered.
