Position Overview
The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the complete bid management process for government contracts.
This role requires expertise in identifying, analysing, and responding to government tenders while coordinating with internal departments to ensure compliant and competitive bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and identify relevant government tenders from designated portals including GeM (Government e-Marketplace), CPPP (Central Public Procurement Portal), and other state-specific procurement platforms
- Analyse tender documents thoroughly to understand requirements, scope of work, terms and conditions, and qualification parameters
- Develop comprehensive bid strategies in alignment with company capabilities and goals
- Lead the bid preparation process including documentation, pricing strategy, business case preparation and due approvals from the Chief Commercial Officer and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with Technical, Finance, and Legal departments to gather necessary inputs and ensure all aspects of the bid are addressed
- Prepare and review technical proposals, financial proposals, and compliance documents
- Ensure timely submission of bids with all required documents and certifications
- Maintain accurate records of all bid submissions and their status
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarification sessions with government agencies
- Analyse bid results and prepare post-bid reports for management review
- Stay updated on government procurement policies and regulatory changes that may impact bidding processes
