About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our Government & Institutional Banking team in Delhi NCR.

- This is a senior role responsible for driving business growth, deepening relationships with key government and institutional clients, and expanding our footprint in this critical vertical.

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in government banking, TASC (Trusts, Associations, Societies, and Clubs) or a related institutional banking domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

- Identify, prospect, and acquire new government and institutional clients, including central and state government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, educational institutions, and other non-profit organizations.

- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to achieve ambitious targets for deposits, loans, and other banking products.

- Cross-sell a full suite of banking products and services, including cash management, trade finance, credit facilities, treasury products, and digital banking solutions.

Client Relationship Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key government and institutional clients.

- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior government officials, treasurers, and key decision-makers.

- Understand client needs and provide tailored banking solutions to address their unique requirements.

- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Operational & Compliance Management:

- Ensure all banking activities are conducted in strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and compliance standards.

- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including product teams, credit, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and risks.

Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with the regional and national government banking teams to share best practices and contribute to the overall growth strategy.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Government Banking, TASC, or a similar institutional banking vertical.

- A strong understanding of the functioning of government departments, PSUs, and non-profit organizations.

- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and building a robust client portfolio.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- MBA or a relevant postgraduate degree from a recognized institution is preferred.
