Sr. Manager Global Export & Distribution
Job Description:
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving international growth by managing distributors, expanding export markets, and setting up new business operations from the ground up. International Export Distribution experience within FMCG is a must have experience for the required role
responsible for scaling international division revenues and improving profitability across global markets (excluding the Middle East). The role will focus on setting up direct distribution functions in Australia and the USA, managing export distribution across global geographies, and establishing robust sales systems, processes, and technology. The incumbent should bring proven expertise in global FMCG distribution, export operations, trading models, and distributor management.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Responsibilities:
- Drive global export distribution by managing end-to-end export operations and ensuring smooth international supply chains.
- Appoint, manage, and engage distributors while expanding the retailer and export landscape.
- Establish and scale direct distribution operations in untapped markets such as Australia, USA, and other potential geographies.
- Identify and plug revenue and margin leakages through robust commercial oversight.
- Benchmark competition and design strategies to counter competition via promotions or new product launches.
- Build new business pipelines, drive market entry, and scale growth with existing and new distributors.
- Lead new product development initiatives and ensure effective distribution and offtake of the health portfolio.
- Manage trade marketing spend effectively and evaluate commercial proposals from distributors.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly performance reviews with distributors and export partners.
- Manage government liaisons (e.g., Ministry of Economy) and lead tender businesses.
Customer & Export Responsibilities:
- Manage current distributor and export partner network while onboarding new distributors/buyers in international markets (excluding core regions).
- Drive export sales growth by identifying new geographies, channel opportunities, and customer segments (including HORECA and bulk).
- Ensure compliance with global export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Develop strategies to maximize international distribution efficiency and competitiveness.
- Drive distributors and export partners to achieve business targets.
People & Organizational Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and retain international sales and export teams.
- Establish a robust sales and export distribution structure, systems, and controls to drive efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and motivate sales/export teams to achieve business objectives.
- Head subsidiary-level functions including Sales Operations, HR, Legal, and Administration.
- Ensure alignment and integration of export and distribution systems with the India business team.
- Upgrade distributor/export partner teams to drive stronger focus on company brands.

- Commercially savvy with ability to identify new geographies and manage P&L impact.
- Strong people leadership with global team management experience.
- Excellent communication, export compliance knowledge, and analytical skills.
Travel Requirements:
- International travel as per business needs.
