Note from the Founders on the role

Excited to find someone to collaborate directly on financial and accounts reporting. This involves working closely with finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure compliance. The role includes 20% strategic initiatives, 30% third-party coordination, and 50% financial reporting and operations with full ownership of the problem statements tackled.

What you will do:

- Plan and control books of accounts and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

- Oversee AR/AP, Payroll, Tax, statutory compliance

- Finalize Trial Balances and provisions monthly/quarterly

- Create dashboards, MIS, and financial statements for internal and statutory reporting

- Forecast cash flow, borrowing needs, and available funds

- Support annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and variance analysis

- Manage external stakeholders (payroll partners, banks, legal advisors, etc.)

- Ensure GST and other tax compliance

- Participate in audits

- Provide information for reconciliations and support ad-hoc analysis/projects

- Develop financial policies and procedures

Youre a good fit if you...

- Are a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of experience in similar roles in SMEs or startups

- Have experience in e-commerce or D2C accounting (preferred)

- Are excited to build a finance function from 0-1

- Can adapt to startup uncertainty and enjoy generalist work

- Understand budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in depth

- Prefer hands-on work over pure strategy

- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

- Can work 5060 hours a week, 6 days a week
