Senior Data Analyst - Property and Casualty Insurance
Role Summary:
The Senior Analytics Analyst - P&C Policy will play a critical role in analyzing, monitoring, and improving the quality of property and casualty (P&C) policy data. This position requires a blend of analytical expertise, insurance industry knowledge, and strong technical skills. The analyst will work with operational leaders, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that policy data-including limits, deductibles, exposures, and other key elements-is accurate, complete, and effectively.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Quality Monitoring:
- Analyze P&C policy data for multiple lines of business, with property as the primary focus, ensuring accuracy across US Retail and RPS operations in 2025.
- Implement and maintain data quality monitoring processes for policy data, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Develop reporting mechanisms to measure data quality improvements and compliance over time.
Business Consulting & Collaboration:
- Partner with operational leaders to identify data control needs and support the creation of effective operating procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for P&C policy data within OneSource, guiding business users in effective data usage.
- Coordinate with local teams to resolve data quality issues and provide training as necessary.
System Enhancements & Requirements Management:
- Write business requirements for enhancements and ensure accurate implementation in OneSource.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate new solutions and system updates.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure P&C policy data is properly structured, maintained, and accessible.
Reporting & Visualization:
- Prepare and present clear, insightful visual representations of complex datasets to support decision-making.
- Communicate technical findings in a simplified manner for non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Data Analytics, Finance, or related field, with a strong background in insurance, insurance brokerage, or financial services (P&C preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets, with keen attention to accuracy and detail.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of insurance data, especially P&C metrics such as limits, deductibles, and exposures.
