The role requires evaluating tax implications for high-impact projects involving mergers, acquisitions, business restructurings, and global tax strategies. The candidate should also be proficient in conducting due diligence on corporate tax and transfer pricing matters and preparing comprehensive tax documentation and returns. Additionally, the role requires effectively communicating tax concepts to clients, collaborating with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions, and staying updated on tax legislation changes to provide informed client advice.

Responsibilities:

1. Decode the tax implications of intricate business restructurings, including share sales, asset sales, slump sales, mergers, and demergers.

2. Guide clients through buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, ensuring tax efficiency.

3. Conduct in-depth due diligence covering corporate tax, withholding tax, GST, and transfer pricing.

4. Structure inbound and outbound investments, ensuring tax compliance and efficiency.

5. Analyse and implement Indian transfer pricing regulations, optimizing tax structures for businesses.

6. Assess withholding tax implications on domestic and international transactions, leveraging Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAAs).

7. Prepare and review key tax filings, including corporate tax returns, TDS returns, Form 15CA/CB, and transfer pricing documentation.

8. Conduct deep-dive research to interpret tax laws and apply them to client-specific scenarios.

9. Assist in preparing documentation and submissions for tax appeals, offering litigation support as needed.

10. Stay ahead of evolving tax regulations and provide proactive insights to clients.

Client Management:

1. Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax concepts and implications.

2. Collaborate with internal teams/ other practice areas to deliver integrated tax solutions.

Education Qualification and Experience:

1. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.

2. At least 3-4 years of experience in a tax advisory role within an accounting firm or law firm,

3. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a knack for strategic problem-solving.

4. Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
