Senior Associate - Equity Capital Markets - LLB - Law Firm

Job Description:

A leading law firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate (5-7 years PQE) for its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) practice in Mumbai. The role involves independently handling complex ECM transactions and leading deal execution with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading and managing equity capital markets transactions including IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, FPOs, OFS, preferential issues, buy-backs, and delistings

- Drafting and reviewing offer documents, DRHPs, legal opinions, shareholder resolutions, and regulatory filings

- Advising clients on compliance with SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and listing obligations

- Overseeing legal due diligence and managing coordination with merchant bankers, clients, and regulatory authorities

- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge building within the team

- Keeping abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the capital markets space

Requirements:

- LL.B. degree is mandatory

- 5-7 years of post-qualification experience at a reputed law firm with a focus on equity capital markets

- In-depth knowledge of SEBI ICDR, LODR, SCRR, and the Companies Act

- Strong leadership, drafting, and client management skills

- Ability to take ownership of transactions and work in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
