Resource Planning & Allocation:

- Oversee the allocation and scheduling of resources, including dry dock, fit-out berth, fabrication bays to ensure efficient operations.

- Coordinate with Project Planners, maintenance team and various departments to align resources with multiple projects requirements and timelines.

- Regularly update and adjust resource allocation plans based on project progress, unexpected delays, and changing priorities.

Planning for existing projects:

- Formulate long-term and short-term plans to optimize shipyard operations and resource utilization.

Asset Utilization Optimization:

- Monitor the usage of large assets and resources to ensure high utilization rates, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency or reassign resources as needed.

- Conduct utilization analysis for dry docks, fit-out berths, and fabrication areas to determine under- or over-utilization, working to resolve bottlenecks and resource conflicts.

Coordination with Project Teams:

- Collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and department heads to align resource plans with project milestones and requirements.

Tracking & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of resource allocation and utilization, documenting asset schedules, shifts in allocation, and reasons for reassignments.

Risk Management & Contingency Planning:

- Identify potential risks related to resource availability, such as equipment breakdowns, manpower shortages, or schedule conflicts, and develop mitigation strategies.

- Create contingency plans to manage unexpected demands or disruptions in resource availability, ensuring continuity of operations.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.

- A Master's degree or certifications in Resource Planning, Operations Management, or Project Management is advantageous.

- 10+ years of experience in resource planning, asset management, or operations planning within shipbuilding, heavy engineering, or a manufacturing environment.

- Proven experience in coordinating large asset allocations and resource scheduling within a high-demand, capital-intensive industry.
