Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented SAP Functional or Technical Consultant with 34 years of experience, preferably in a Presales or Solutioning role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to RFPs/RFIs, building technical proposals, and presenting SAP solutions to potential clients. This role requires a blend of strong SAP domain knowledge, customer interaction skills, and the ability to create high-quality presales collateral.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to RFPs/RFIs from customers by thoroughly understanding their SAP environment and specific requirements.

- Interact with clients, delivery managers, and internal stakeholders to gather technical and functional inputs for presales proposals.

- Analyze and interpret detailed RFP scopes and prepare:

- Pre-bid queries

- Solution roadmaps

- High-level scoping documents

- Budgetary estimates

- Prepare and present end-to-end SAP solution architectures, technical proposals, and capability presentations.

- Drive the presales solutioning lifecycle: from requirement analysis, effort estimation, to final proposal submission.

- Build and deliver impactful technical walkthrough presentations to clients.

- Coordinate with Sales, Delivery, and Practice teams to align proposals with delivery capabilities and commercial formats.

- Prepare and finalize Statements of Work (SoW) and ensure smooth handover to the delivery teams post-deal closure.

- Participate in industry analyst surveys, contribute to market research, and provide data and insights on service capabilities.

- Support the building of a presales knowledge repository including reusable templates, estimation models, presentation decks, and solution briefs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- 34 years of hands-on experience in SAP Functional or Technical roles (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FI, ABAP, BASIS, etc.).

- Proven experience in presales or solutioning rolesespecially in responding to RFPs/RFIs and preparing proposals.

- Strong understanding of SAP modules and architecture; ability to translate business needs into solution designs.

- Excellent skills in preparing:

- Project timelines

- Budget estimates

- Roadmaps and solution options

- Experience interacting with CXO-level stakeholders and delivering professional presentations.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation tools for proposal development.

- Familiarity with project estimation models, effort tracking, and commercial proposal formats.

- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

Good to Have

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and integrations with third-party systems.

- SAP certification in functional or technical domains.

- Experience working in global delivery models and cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with solutioning tools like SAP Solution Manager, LeanIX, ARIS, etc.
