Job Overview:
The IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) vertical aims to provide organizations with environmentally responsible and secure solutions for managing end-of-life IT assets. This includes refurbishing, cannibalization, data sanitization, and recycling of IT equipment in compliance with environmental and data protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth in the ITAD domain through active engagement with IT companies, OEMs, leasing firms, and bulk IT asset users, focusing on sustainable partnerships and repeat business.
- Act as an individual contributor while also collaborating cross-functionally to support team goals in sourcing, client servicing, and IT asset lifecycle management.
- Identify and approach potential clients within the IT ecosystem - including IT services firms, leasing companies, consulting companies, and other bulk IT consumers - to generate leads and expand the customer base.
- Execute sourcing and sales strategies for decommissioned IT assets, offering comprehensive end-to-end ITAD services including data sanitization, refurbishing, and compliant recycling.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement, efficient handling, and resale of IT assets while maintaining high operational and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, compliance, and logistics) to ensure seamless execution of ITAD processes and service delivery.
- Track and respond to market trends, compliance updates, and ITAD industry developments to maintain competitiveness and ensure adherence to data protection laws and environmental norms.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all sourcing, processing, and sales activities in alignment with internal KPIs and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors, IT clients, and service providers to ensure operational consistency and service quality.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices in ITAD, especially concerning data destruction, e-waste handling, and client security protocols.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in IT sales, ITAD, refurbishing, or e-waste management with at least some exposure to business development and sourcing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to function both as an individual contributor and as part of a team, with a focus on execution and ownership.
- Good understanding of the ITAD lifecycle, including data sanitization techniques, IT asset remarketing, and environmental compliance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive deals independently and engage with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
- Knowledge of IT asset tracking tools, documentation processes, and compliance standards (R2, ISO, e-waste regulations) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
