Our client, a global consulting firm, is engaged with a leading player in the building materials sector to drive their go-to-market (GTM) strategy and enhance sales effectiveness. This initiative is part of a broader strategic transformation to strengthen their market position and optimise their commercial operations in key regions.

They are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant who will play a critical role in shaping and executing the clients GTM strategy. The consultant will bring deep sales expertise within building materials (or related sectors) to help the client unlock growth opportunities, streamline sales processes, and drive sustained revenue impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse existing sales and distribution processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.

- Develop and implement GTM strategies tailored to regional market dynamics and customer needs.

- Work closely with client sales leadership to drive capability building and adoption of new GTM approaches.

- Design sales structures, incentive plans, and channel strategies aligned to growth objectives.

- Support operational execution of GTM plans, including piloting initiatives and measuring impact.

- Present findings, recommendations, and implementation roadmaps to senior client stakeholders.

Your Background

- 6-12 years of hands-on sales and go-to-market experience within the building materials sector.

- Strong understanding of distribution networks, channel management, and commercial operations.

- Experience in developing and executing GTM strategies in a B2B context; FMCG sales experience is also valued.

- Proven ability to work with senior leadership teams to influence decisions and drive execution.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

This is a full-time contractual opportunity for 6 to 12 months in Hyderabad, India with potential for extension based on performance and project pipeline. The role will require presence at the client site with possible travel within the region as needed.
