Saasvaap - Financial Controller

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and strategic thinker with a strong grasp of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition

- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all financial and tax regulations

- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes

- Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports and statements, and recommend improvements

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities

- Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support decision-making by senior management

- Manage a finance team and support their professional development

Requirements & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters or MBA preferred)

- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA is strongly preferred

- Proven experience 5+ in a senior financial managerial position or financial controller role

- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and standards (GAAP/IFRS)

- Experience with corporate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

- Strong understanding of financial software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks)

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
